Next President of the British Rhinological Society (announced July 2020)
We are delighted to inform you that Raj has been voted by the membership to be the next President of the British Rhinological Society. He will be President-Elect until the next annual meeting in Sheffield in May 2021, after which he will take up the reins fully. Raj says, "It is an honour and a privilege to represent my national society and to have been given this accolade by my colleagues from around the United Kingdom. I am absolutely delighted."
Advanced Rhinology & Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery Fellowship
Miss Caroline Smith has been appointed to this position until October 2020. Caroline is a post-qualification ENT specialist from Belfast, NI. She has a very strong educational background, and is a keen trainer in her own right. She has expressed an interest in developing a sub-specialist interest in advanced rhinology and reconstructive nasal plastic surgery.

The October 2020 to September 2021 fellowship position has been awarded to Miss Louise Evans from Swansea, Wales.
The next fellowship position October 2021 to September 2022 will be advertised on NHS Jobs in due course. More details will follow shortly. I am already receiving great interest in our fellowship post from the UK and further afield up to and including 2023. I strongly encourage you to strengthen your curriculum vitae in the relevant areas, academic and clinical experience, and to plan well in advance if you are considering applying for our fellowship.
Applications for the October 2020 - September 2021 position are now closed. The fellowship was advertised on the NHS Jobs website (www.jobs.nhs.uk). The closing date for applications was February 2020. The post will commence from 1st October 2020 for a period of 12 months. The post is salaried with a nominal on-call commitment, and includes a budget for study leave. The successful candidate will be expected to help in the organisation of the Manchester Cadaveric Dissection Courses (www.nose-manchester.co.uk and www.sinus.uk.com), and to positively contribute to the development of the Manchester Nose & Sinus Centre and its ethos.
