COVID-19 LATEST (August 2020)
These are unprecedented times. But if we're not careful, healthcare for non-urgent patients will come to a stand-still. Most of you with nose and sinus conditions, unfortunately, fall into this category. Particularly if pandemic-related hospital access remains restricted for another 6 to 12 months as predicted.
To ensure that my patients are able to seek advice when needed, for prescriptions dispensed by private pharmacies, and to have surgery safely taking all current COVID precautions, we continue to provide excellent video and telephone consultations, and face-to-face consultations with full PPE.
We can also now perform a private hearing test, blood tests and radiological tests where needed. The processes are going to be different to what you are used to, ie. sitting in your car until 5 minutes before your appointment, your 'flow' through the hospitals etc. But this has all been designed over the past few months to keep you safe whilst in the hospital setting.
The insurance companies support your consultations, whether face-to-face, video or telephone. Self-funding patients can continue to self fund.
Allergies can be diagnosed and treated as we come into the tree pollen and grass pollen allergy seasons. Throat, nose and ear complaints can be diagnosed and treatment commenced. Neck lumps can be assessed, viewed remotely if needed (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, AccuRx) and a decision made about next steps.
Symptoms you MUST NOT ignore:
As doctors we are having to do things differently whilst the COVID-19 recovery continues. But our processes are very well thought out. To keep you safe. We are determined to continue to provide advice and healthcare during the current situation albeit in a different way. To make an appointment (new or follow-up) or to discuss your needs, please contact Emma on 07563 093112 or email@example.com
The Manchester Nose & Sinus Centre was established over 13 years ago, in 2007, at the University of Manchester within the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
The Manchester Nose & Sinus Centre was developed to be a centre of excellence for the expert treatment and study of nasal and sinus disorders, as well as the extended applications of endoscopic sinus surgery and rhinoplasty.
Using state-of-the-art technology and the most modern instrumentation, your nasal and sinus disease will be diagnosed and managed by Raj Bhalla, an expert in his field of surgery.
At the Manchester Nose and Sinus Centre, we care for the health of your nose and sinuses. This is achieved:
Most surgery is performed using minimally-invasive techniques, as a day case procedure, and without nasal packing. For patients that have previously had more than one sinus operation, the surgeon uses his expertise in stereotactic image-guidance technology to plan and perform surgery. Similarly, complex revision rhinoplasty operations are also very regularly undertaken.
This website is an up-to-date resource for common conditions of the nose and sinuses, and advice after ENT operations. It can be used by patients, general practitioners and trainees in the field of ENT surgery.
We regret that medical advice cannot be provided outside the context of a consultation, and NHS referrals can only be made through your General Practitioner.
